Fiver was bred from black otters and born September 2008. He has such a wonderful personality and will always be one of Debbie's favourites!
From an early age it was evident that he would make a nice adult but we had to wait a long time for his head to come on.

Fiver is well proportioned and his head and crown are superb. He is such a sweet, inquisitive and gentle natured boy. Luckily for us he's also a natural born poser, when he can keep still!

Fiver has recently become a father! We are so proud of him! Through these matings we have discovered he is also a self carrier and CHOCOLATE carrier. The quality of his kits are proving to be great.

Fiver has 11 CC's, 28 stars, 7 BoB's and 2 Best Lop Awards
plus 2 stars for Best Lop Diplomas (total 30*)

Judge Neil Jefferis : Nice class of otters, winner very stylish with good profile, lovely head shape, wins coat/ colour and tanning.

Jamie

Jamie is a black otter buck, he is a chocolate carrier. He has lots of fantastic qualities including a thick coat, Arnold Schwatznegger type shoulders and a nice big head. He is a very sweet boy and loves nothing more than a scratch on the bum which sends him into a trance like state. He is also a very licky and cuddly boy.
Jamie had been shown by his previous owner but was never that happy to be on the bench. Therefore he was retired from exhibition and is retained by us as a very useful stud buck and much loved pet.

Luna

This lovely lady is Luna, half sister to Pickle. She is a blue otter and was bred from blue self and blue otter. She has a very good depth of colour, fantastic coat and lovely crown and ear placement. Luna has a gentle nature and bows her head at the front of the cage to enjoy her head rub.

Barrow Bunnies Sky

Sky was the result of our first attempt to create blue otters, she is out of Pickle (blue otter) and Dallas (blue carrier black otter).
She was the only blue in a nest of four. At four weeks of age she had a wide head and lovely ear carriage. Sky has great tanning for a blue otter.

Sky is now a proven and is a brilliant mother. We are running on some of her kits at present.

Dallas

Dallas is a black otter doe. She has a fantastic coat, massive shoulders and is really cobby. She was bred from a blue otter (many BoB and Best Lops under his belt) and chocolate self so is a carrier of blue, chocolate, otter and self, what more could we ask for? In fact she has proved this and is very valuable to us by producing stunning offspring in choc and blue otter and self.
Dallas is a great mother and she enjoys a good stroke.

Betty is a black otter doe. Her sire is Fiver her dam is Kat. She has a fantastic coat like her father also very good shoulders and overall type.
Betty is now retired given her age, although she was shown less than a handful of times anyway. However the purpose of her breeding was to begin a 'Fiver' line. As soon as we feel she is mature enough she will be line bred to Fiver, as will her kits.

Selfs

Tike

Tike is a black self buck, bred from black and black otter, he is also a chocolate and blue carrier and is thus a fantastic asset to several of our lines. He is one of our smaller bucks, weighing in at only 1.380Kg on a heavy day. Nick named 'Horny', Tike will always get the job done. He sires some really good type kits and brings the size down from any larger does we breed him to. Throughout his show career with his previous owner, he won several CC's and he was always a source of laughter and mischief on the table.
Tike is looking better and better as he matures with age, although his last moult was rather too prolonged!

Tike has 5 CC & 10 stars (since being with us)

Judge Mrs J Pooke : Wins on shortness of body, broad muzzle, neat ear carriage, good shoulder width.

Judge Mrs S. Dickenson : Good head shape, ear and crown carriage. Good coat and colour but a few white hairs.
Judge Mrs P Pyke : Nice well balanced rabbit. Good body and shoulder, nice head and ear.

Judge Mr B Rideout : Nice type, skull, crown, ear drop, coat and colour, just to clear on belly.

Judge Mr D James : Good all round type, touch moult spoils today.

Texan

Texan has come all the way from Yorkshire. His previous owner described him as a fair all rounder and we couldn't agree more.
However his main value for us is his superb depth of colour and coat (although looking light in this picture as starting to moult).

We aim to use Texan in our otter and choc tort breeding programme.

Texan loves his food and is really friendly.

Desoto is still a youngster. He is a chocolate self buck and was bred out of Fiver (black otter & chocolate carrier) and Dallas (black otter who carries chocolate & blue).

At his first show as an U5, he was placed 1st in a class of 3 but unfortunately but was badly mishandled so is now quite nervous on the show bench (something we are working hard to recitfy) His line are 'slow burners', so we are still waiting for him to reach his full potential. He has lovely coat and short body and good width to his shoulders. We hope to use him in our choc tort lines.

Blackberry is another daughter of Kat born on 2nd November 08. She was always the smallest in the litter and even now is still teeny tiny. She's a friendly little girl, although she's another one that won't sit still for two seconds! Her body is really small and compact and her head is near on perfect. In short she's a good all rounder! She is a dilute carrier so one day she may be able to throw us some nice blues put to the right buck.

Blackberry is a wonderful caring mother. She produces strong healthy babies of fantastic quality. We get very excited whenever she has kits!
