Here is a blue otter young buck bred from Sky (blue otter) and Tiny Tim (blue otter).
He has retained all of his parents good qualities; Skys super coat and colour and Tiny Tims beautiful head.
Titan is our first rabbit to gain a Best in Show!

Titan has 7CC's, 19 stars, Best of Breed, Best Lop, Best in Show

Mr D James: Lovely type, well proportioned, good posture, nice coat, colour and condition. In show report: Best Lop and ultimately BiS for me, a super all round ... Well done Debs and Heather.

Mrs G Webb-Bailey : Nice short body, good head and ear, clean.

Mrs L Keith : Blue Ott. Good head, ears and body. Nice coat and colour.

Mr B Rideout : Blue otter of very short body, good skull, ear drop, chest, coat and colour. Fit. Hard lines to meet black.

Barrow Bunnies Parsnip

Genotype at_bbC_DDE_

PARSNIP5MONTHS.jpg

Parsnip is a chocolate otter buck from Pumpkin (black otter) and Jamie (black otter).

We are pleased to finally have offspring from Jamie.

Parsnip boasts a lovely coat, vibrant tanning, good ear carriage and nice short cobby body with AMAZING SHOULDER, hopefully these qualities will be maintained into adulthood. At 12 weeks he looks to have everything we wanted (a smaller version of dad Jamie). He has attended one show so far and is now at home maturing. We see great prospects for him with stud duties in the Spring!

Mrs L Keith : Choc Ott. Nice baby, good head and ears, just to fill out.

Barrow Bunnies Bootleg

Genotype ataB_C_ddE_

bootleg.jpg

Bootleg is a young petite blue otter buck. His dam is the lovely Sky (blue otter) and sire Jin (blue self). He has super head, ears and crown, is very short and looks to have the beginnings of a nice coat and fair tanning. He resembles his half brother Titan as a baby but is shorter in body and a bit more inquisitive. Bootleg is just starting his show career as and U5. He won the NMLRC U5 CC @ the London Champs '11.

Bootleg has 3 CC, 8 stars (u5)

G Richardson : Fair type, good head and drop, to develop.

C Humphreys: Very good body and limbs. Lovely head with good crown, ear drop and shape. Good coat. Very promising and good all round youngster.

Barrow Bunnies Bermuda

Genotype atatB_CCDdEE

bermuda261010.jpg

Bermuda sadly was in the last litter produced by our lovely Pickle (blue otter) who left us very suddenly (2010).
Her mother is Dallas (black otter). She has inherited both parents best qualities, super coat, tanning and chunk from Dallas and good head from Pickle.
She is pictured here as a youngster but as an adult has now had several litters, and is proving to be an excellent mum producing quality youngsters.

Barrow Bunnies Sky
Genotype atatB_CCddEE

skyadult.jpg

Sky was the result of our first attempt to create blue otters, she is out of Pickle (blue otter) and Dallas (blue carrier black otter).
She was the only blue in a nest of four. At four weeks of age she had a wide head and lovely ear carriage. Sky has great tanning for a blue otter.
Sky was only ever taken out to one show, a championship show. Most does have a short show life, if one decides to carry on showing them the chance to breed from them may be lost.
Sky has produced some cracking babies and is a brilliant mother. We are running on some of her kits at present and some of her daughters are now producing their own babies.

Sky has 3 CC 's & 7 stars (U5)

Barrow Bunnies Moonshine
Genotype atatB_C_ddE_

blueottdoe.jpg

...is a young small blue otter doe. Her dam is the Sky (blue otter) and sire Titan (blue otter). She has super head, ears and crown, is very short. She still has a baby coat so not passing judgement yet.
She is looking to be just like her daddy!

Barrow Bunnies Augusta
Genotype atatB_C_D_E_

DSC_0380.JPG

This is a very young doe we are keeping an eye on at the moment. She has a lovely short body and beautiful head, ears and crown. Her sire is Seattle and dam Bermuda.

Pumpkin
Bred by Lapin Lops
Genotype ataBbCcchdDDEe

pumpkin140311.jpg

Pumpkin is a petite black otter doe who is of great value for her cobiness and dense glossy coat. She has good tanning, ticking and nice sharp otter markings. She is from similar lines to our existing stock so is ideal to use in our breeding programme. She is also a chocolate and self carrier (and can throw the odd fox, but quite what gene she is carrying we do not know yet).

Phizz
Bred by Troika Stud

Genotype at-BBCCDDE-

phizzyoungster.jpg

Phizz is a young black otter doe from Margaret at Troika stud. Her sire is Whizz a lovely high rufus wideband agouti and dam Penny a black otter. Phizz is a good all rounder and excels in width of scull which is very complimentry to our lines. Luckily our rabbits are shorter in coat and guard hair as Phizz is soft coated. She is distantly related to a few of our other otters, so is an ideal out cross.

Rubix
Bred by Mini Rabbit Ranch
Genotype aabbCCDDEe Enen++

rubix3.jpg

Well we couldn't resist this little chap! He is a such a sweetie and has a massive squeezable set of chops. He appears to have a nice set of shoulders, short in back, deep in chest and a chunky set of legs. However we would like to see better width of crown. He is photographed here as a very young teen so quite a lot of growing to go. His dam is a chocolate tort so he carries non extension which will make him compatible with our choc torts, sooties etc...

rubix3.jpg

For quite some time we have been searching for a mantle or over marked butterfly. Rubix's belly is almost closed with colour which is an over marking even for a mantle. But it means that hopefully he will be able to breed well marked butterflies and mantles.

rubix3.jpg

However you can see from his facial markings (despite moult line) that he still has a tiny blaze and white spots above his eyes.

Gunner
Bred by Andrew Lipski
Geneotype AABBCcDDEe

gunner261010.jpg

This lovely little buck is just what we have been looking for to put through our blue otters. He was bred out of a REW buck and an agouti doe.
We have named him Gunner for two reasons in support of Debs team Arsenal and also as he is bringing in the guns to sort our the blue otters!
Gunner has a nice head, coat, cobby body and a great colour as an agouti should be, not too dark or red. Since being with us he is maturing in to a lovely adult and his shoulders are bulking up nicely. Looking forward to him coming out of his moult (as pictured!)

Gunner has 6 CC's, 12 stars
Coming 3rd (out of 43) in the Mini Lop Challenge with the MLC at Lincs '10
